Community Service In the Know Resources supports the Breast Cancer Fund. The Breast Cancer Fund works to connect the dots between breast cancer and exposures to chemicals and radiation in our everyday environments. They translate the growing body of scientific evidence linking breast cancer and environmental exposures into public education and advocacy campaigns that protect our health and reduce breast cancer risk. They help transform how our society thinks about and uses chemicals and radiation, with the goal of preventing breast cancer and sustaining health and life. They find practical solutions so that our children, grandchildren and planet can thrive. 6th Annual Day of Renewal to benefit the Breast Cancer Fund Saturday June 4th, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Join us for a day of pampering. Enjoy the breathtaking views. Support a worthy cause. Keynote Speaker Sophie Uliano: The Great Green Motivator Gorgeously Green Way is all about joyfully walking the middle path. Sophie Uliano, New York Times Bestseller of Gorgeously Green, believes that the only way one can motivate oneself to make sustainable and lasting changes is to create those changes in the context of joy. The Joy of Living is the theme that Sophie will explore in this presentation, and that how as “activists” we need to take care not to dwell on the problem, rather than the solution. - A green lifestyle is not a one-size-fits-all – we have to find a way that works for us individually.
- It’s not about being extreme. When we come from a place of rigidity, it’s counterproductive.
- Ultimately, the true path to joyful living is balance.
- Practical tips to find a way to greater balance and harmony.
- Our personal health & the environment
